Have you ever been in a place where you feel hopeless, alone…afraid? All the while knowing that you have to keep moving forward. How though? Where do you find the strength when one thing hits you after another? Where do you find faith when God tells you to do something you just don’t understand, knowing your present circumstances don’t support it. Where does your hope lie? Are you walking alone? Do you have people surrounding you with their presence, speaking words of life into your situation?
Selah.
Where is God in all of this? HE. IS. EVER. PRESENT! His word says that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He says to trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6), with all of your heart and acknowledge Him. He will then (the prerequisite is leaning NOT on your understanding and acknowledging him) make your paths straight. HE WILL- this totally means that you don’t have to do anything except the two things He tells you to, which is to trust him ONLY and acknowledge Him. Acknowledge His presence, his power, his glory, his grace, his love, his peace, his joy, his character. When you do this while walking in the wilderness, when you can’t see what is in front of you, you can rest in the fact that HE IS ON THE HORIZON.
Today (or whenever you read this) listen to this beautiful worship song of faithful trust in the One who is Steady on His feet when you tumble, a Light in the dark when you can’t see, a friend when you are alone, Grace when you need forgiveness, Faith when you doubt, and Peace in the chaos.
